About

Hi, I'm Gabe, a '25 graduate with 3 years of software developer experience!

I'm a '25 Vanderbilt University graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Mathematics.

3 years ago I found inspiration in front-end development. I've learned the theory in university, taught myself the fundamentals and frameworks, and have tackled personal projects, business sites, and full-stack work for government contractors.

where did it begin ❓

Childhood video games! I've played everything from N64 and GameCube to Playstation and PC. My CS journey started with developing Roblox games with my friends. In 2024 I had a revelation to learn web dev, and began intensive self-study of practical front-end with an online course called The Odin Project!

where am i now 🤔

I've tackled abstract CS, and programming languages at uni, and have 2 years of intensive self-studying of front-end. I have built numerous personal projects, and I've loved getting to express my own creativity and perfect little design details! I have also tackled volunteer work developing sites for local businesses, and have a year of industry experience as a software developer for government contractors.

who am i 😳

I grew up in a single-parent, low-income household, and it taught me two valuable things: work hard at what you do, and find peace in any situation. I love to laugh (and hopefully make others laugh too). Nonetheless, nothing make me happier than being called "meticulous". I ALWAYS give my best effort, and consider all the fine details of what I do. I embrace questioning and learning my way through life.

what do i do for fun 😊

I love to play tennis, basketball, and lift weights (very passionate about this). I've volunteered at medical warehouses, and also helped preserve marine-ecosystems on the shores of Texas. Indoors I dabble in many things: videogames, reading (particularly philosophy; I've read 1 book every month in 2025), baking (avid cheesecake baker), and playing piano! I have also dabbled in drawing, writing, and crochet! I'm also a very big music-head, and listen to a wide range of genres from alternative metal to K-Pop to indie folk.
